Jana and New Baby Judilyn

Hi from the Orchards in Minnesota!  I needed to put a picture of my CUTE baby and share the happy news that Judilyn is HERE!!  I've had one miscarriage each year for the past three years and we're very excited and happy to have our new baby.  She was born August 8, and weighed 7lbs 14oz  Now, she's two months old and as cute as a button.

The month of July was wild and crazy for our family. Jackie and her kids spent the first couple of weeks with us in Nephi. After the Family Reunion, we all went to Lake Powell (our home away from home). We had a huge week of partying celebrating Brinlee, Rylee, Grant, and Maddee's birthdays. It was fabulous! Melba, Jenni, Leslee, Melanette, and Telila went to BYU-Idaho Education Week while Jackie and her family settled back in to life in Mesa, AZ and Trudi took her kids to spend some time with James who is working in Rifle, CO. It was a great month and we are all happy and healthy. :)

Family Reunion July 10th - 12th

July 2, 2009

Dear Family,

The +R Family Reunion is approaching quickly and we hope everyone has it on their calendar and is planning on attending. We will be setting up Friday, July 10th and cleaning up and going home Sunday, July 12th.

The Reunion will be held at the Jay Birch Ranch up Spanish Fork Canyon. The Reunion has been held there a number of times over the past few years but here is a quick reminder on how to get there: From I-15 take exit #258/Price (US-89 E)/Manti onto US-6 (approximately 15 miles). Turn right on US-89 and then watch for the +R sign for the next turn-off (about a mile). Jay's Ranch is just a few miles up the road and we will make sure there are signs to direct you. If you need more instructions just give us a call.

MEALS:
Saturday Morning - Pancake Breakfast
Saturday Evening - Hamburgers & Hot Dogs Potluck Dinner
***Everyone please bring salads, chips, desserts, or anything else that would be yummy for dinner.
Sunday Morning - Pancake Breakfast

SNACKS - We would like everyone to bring a snack to share. These will be set out for everyone to enjoy throughout the day Saturday as we visit, play games, do crafts, and just relax.

RAFFLE:
Don't forget your raffle items. We have two quilts and heard rumor of a couple more that will be donated. Put some

thought, creativity and your talents into your raffle items. We hope to have some really great items this year. The raffle tickets will be $1.00 each this year and the raffle will be Saturday evening.

Canasta & Horseshoes:
Pick your partner and get ready for the Canasta tournament. Let's see how many of us remember how to play and if you

don't then it is not to late to learn. Trudi will be coordinating so let her know if you want to play.

Horseshoe tournaments will also be held. James will be coordinating the Men's, Lady's, and Kid's tournaments so let him know if you will be competing. If you have any horseshoe sets please bring them.

There will also be other crafts and games going on for all ages. Also remember to bring your stories, photos and other memorabilia to share. We have heard a few stories and memories lately and it has been WONDERFUL! We are so looking forward to seeing everyone and thank you in advance for making the effort to come.

See you Soon!

Passing news along

We wanted to start this blog in hopes to keep all Rasmussen relatives updated on everyone's situations in life whether good or bad. Some of us our out of state and even those in state sometimes find it hard to keep on top of the news in the different families lives.
The blog is open to everyone who wants to be able to post news and pictures of their family and I hope to have at least one representative from the 7 "Original" Rasmussen siblings who will make sure to post news about their families. In order to post news I need to have you send me your e-mail address to r_jcrum@cox.net and then I will add you to the blog as an author and I will send you an e-mail back to confirm. To be able to post on the blog you will also need to have a google account, it is free and very easy to set up.
I hope to hear from you all soon!
